Earlier this month myself and Brian collected our new fixed wing trainer. We have chosen a Thruster Sprint which offers an ideal platform for training new pilots. The aircraft has a Jabiru 2200 engine that delivers 80HP . We picked the machine up from Wellingborough and flew her up to Balado. With a cruise speed of 70knots we were able to cruise for three and a half hours with a fuel consumption of only 12 litres per hour. We will also be offering instructor courses for fixed wing on this machine as well as ab-initio training. There are two shares available in the machine for those who would like a low cost form of fixed wing flying.
